Introduction

Hi guys!

So this is my first official blog/blog post. For a while now I have been a major fan of the Vlogbrothers (check them out on YouTube) but had never thought to make vlogs (video blog) myself. However, after my school gave us an assignment to attend a New Student Dialogue and then make a vlog response to it, I began to think that vlogging was a lot of fun. However, I never had the courage to sit in my dorm and talk about the random things on my mind to a video camera with my suitemates within earshot (a little awkward.) But lately I have had the biggest urge to just talk about these things and thus we have this blog. I think that one day I may start to make vlogs rather than type a blog but for some reason typing things out seems a little more cathartic to me.

So you may be thinking, why choose the name "Awkward Good Times?" Well I have found that through my daily life I have had many awkward things happen to me, and while they were awkward at the time, they always turned out to be a fun story to tell and essentially, a "good time." A little weird I know, but I have sort of a weird life. Now while this blog is titled "Awkward Good Times" I don't plan on only writing about the awkward moments of my life but just things that pop into my head also. I guess just think of this as a summary of daily events and my thoughts.

Now the background is obviously some sheet music and you may be thinking, "That doesn't really deal with awkward things," well I don't consider myself artsy in any way but I love music and took piano lessons for about 11 years. Plus, when I was trying to decide what I wanted to be the background of this blog, sheet music seemed like a great idea; also, it looked cool. However, since I'm extremely indecisive and criticize myself very harshly, the background many change.

I can't really think of other things to write and I'm just starting to learn how this whole website works, but I hope you guys find my posts (present and future) interesting.

Bye and DFTBA!
